The day at the B

Spent the early afternoon to early evening down at The Borgata's 500K deepstack. Helped blog a little, chip counting, hand histories, shoulder to cry on... you know.. the norm at any big tourney.

I shared the table with Gorilla (Jeff Shurilla) who will be down there for the whole tourney. Fortunately for him I came bearing gifts... bagels, doughnuts, apples n oranges... all the necessities of sitting on your ass all day and typing up posts.

It was a lot of fun, and in the short time I was there I got to speak to some interesting players. Some were from Greece, Florida, and one poker pro from AC (Chris Reslock, a WSOP bracelet winner). All had interesting stories and some of them have already cashed and might be on their way to the final few tables of the event as we speak. They have to play until midnight tonite, regardless of how many players are left.

Have fun Gorilla.

Borgata $500k Guarantee

The time is upon us. Saturday, March 21st begins the Half-a-mil Guarantee at The Borgata in Atlantic City. I'll be helping out with some chip counts and some personal stories if I can grab anyone interesting during the break. I'll try and find a local player and a distant player and compare some stories.

We have an RPT Super Satellite winner participating in the event as well, Chris Bye from Newtown, PA. We'll be keeping an eye on him throughout the tourney and posting some updates to the forums on Riverchasers.com as well. He'll be sitting down on Sunday's Day 1B. Best of luck Chris.

If anyone hasn't heard, the BBT4 is in full swing on FullTiltPoker. Get your online check-raise ready and come sit with us. Qualify for 2009 WSOP seats with wins or points. The private tourneys have a good group of guys... once you get to know 'em.
